Party time! Not just because May 25th marks the one month birthday of our pb, THE HALF BIRTHDAY BOOK, illustrations by Germán Blanco / Genius Cat Books. This week is full of 1/2 Birthdays for those who were born on or around Thanksgiving. (Guess who?) We think they deserve a special celebration!

Here are our top eight:

1. Listed chronologically, let’s start with today, May 23rd… Did you know, six months from now, Thanksgiving falls on Nov. 23rd? That’s also the birthday of the star who grew up as Hannah Montana.

2. While we’re reminiscing, #Kidlit friends–> It’s almost time to wish a Happy Half Birthday to the guy who taught us –and/or our kids–that science is cool.

Sending so much gratitude to a STEM hero: Bill Nye the Science Guy!

3 & 4. Happy (almost) #HalfBirthday x 2 to twin children’s authors and former First Daughters, Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Pierce Bush. Their #HalfBirthday is on May 25th.

Jenna just released the Summer 2023 booklist in her TODAY book club segment, Read with Jenna.

5. On May 26th, be sure to celebrate the #HalfBirthday of Charlie Brown’s beloved creator, cartoonist Charles M. Schulz. Last year would have been his 100th Birthday! Check out the tribute here.

6, 7, 8. Last but not least, these next three #HalfBirthdays fall on the same day. Three Half-cheers for my dad (Love you!), the one and only Jon Stewart, and awesome music producer / songwriter Andrew Heringer.
